Ruby in Zoisite beads are the green Zoisite rock with black Hornblende and opaque Ruby internal characteristics. The name is derived from the Massai tribe of Tanzania meaning `green`. The gem, first discovered in 1954, is mined in the East African state of Tanzania only. As a one source stone, the gem is considered a second rare collector stone from the Zoisite species.
